Even before going to Latvia for holiday managed to make a one day trip around our new home (Rizhao) - went to Wulian scenic area.
Knew that there should be some hills, some waterfalls...generally sounded nice, so one late Sunday morning went to bus station and hoped on a bus going to where we needed (at least so we were convinced)...after 30 minute ride we saw the sign directing to turn to Wulian...bus made a sudden stop, dropped us off & disappeared with remaining passengers.... Sign said it was still 9 km till Wulian scenic area :) Felt like adventure :) Walked a bit, then managed to hitch-hike a car that took us some 5 or 6 km and then we walked the remaining distance uphill till the entrance gate.
The area seemed to be huge, so we chose the direction and started the hike... 4 h of natural beauty :)
Now I know why fruits in China come packed each in a separate bag -> they grow this way ;)

Gorge. Jumping rocks, cooling feet in refreshing water and enjoying the silence :)
No need to say that in the evening when we were ready to go home there was no bus going back to Rizhao, but luckily one Chinese family gave us a lift back home :)
